Café du Marché des Enfants Rouges

My husband and I stopped by this place to grab something to eat after a long day. When we arrived, there was only one waiter working, so we tried to be understanding and patient. However, we ended up waiting about 30 minutes if not more before he even spoke to us. During that time, he attended to other tables that had arrived after us, which was a bit frustrating. We tried to get his attention a few times and were honestly considering leaving because we weren’t sure if he was going to take our order at all. It would have helped if he had at least acknowledged us or let us know there would be a wait. Eventually he did take our order and the food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience wasn’t the best, especially because of the long wait and lack of communication. Considering the area has many food options, I think there may be better places to try nearby.

Surprisingly good cocktails, fair prices. We didn’t try the food, but the atmosphere was nice, friendly service, the waiter speaks English.

Cozy place. Unfortunately you get a whiskey soda when you order an old fashioned and a creme brulee which is scrambled eggs outside and liquid in the center. Crepes are ok. House wine is decent.
